Meet Em

Aloha, My Name is Emily (Em) The founder of Body Aloha.

I first decided to begin my training in Lomi Lomi in 2022 after finding myself constantly moved by the healing experiences I would have when receiving Hawaiian Massage.

It was always so much more than a standard massage.

In addition to the incredible physical nurturance this holistic, full body and comprehensive massage provides. I was always touched by how much peace Hawaiian massage would bring to my emotional wellbeing as well as the undeniable spiritual realisations I would have during my sessions.

I found myself out of the blue* researching Hawaiian Massage Methods and then next thing I knew it I was in Kumu Dawn’s beautiful home at Tallebuggera alongside my long lost Ohana (family) sharing stories and learning the ways of this Method.

The style of Lomi Lomi I am trained in is Traditional Old Style Lomi Lomi Hawaiian Massage. This method has been practiced for a long time in Hawaii and handed down strictly from Lineage Keeper only. This ensures that the method remains preserved and connected to it’s ancestral roots as a form of healing.

I have run my business between Melbourne, Brisbane and now bringing the magic of this beautiful bodywork to Karratha, WA.
The journey of taking care of mothers in particular came about in Melbourne before I fell pregnant. I started to attract a lot of clients who were post partum and like my other female clients, we were both in awe of the impact these sessions would have.

This time to receive such deep nurture seemed to unlock & release so much emotion from the body. Tears are common and absolutely welcome. I still cry often when I receive Lomi Lomi from my teachers!

I am really so honoured to be able to witness some profound & loving journeys with my clients.

There are a few things which have shaped my ability to hold space for women when they visit me in the Lomi Lomi Temple.
I am familiar with the impact of grief. I know how lost you can feel when a relationship breaks your heart, a loved one passes before their time or something you dearly wanted doesn’t work out how you wanted it to. After my journey through pregnancy, birth & post partum I’m also familiar with how much mothers & women carry, how over-stretched, under-resourced and depleted we can be while seemingly making it all happen.

I care for my clients and I hope that by you knowing a bit more about me that you feel welcome into this safe space to receive beautiful and supportive body work.

Body Aloha seeks to provide women with the neccessary care that we so deeply crave & deserve.

Step out of stress & step into the Lomi Lomi sanctuary where peace resides.

Mahalo,

Em
